I'm back and in much better spirits. To whom it may concern, thank you to all your well wishes. Feeling surprisingly light-hearted now. It could be due to the fact that my family's much more cheerful than how i thought it would be.
Having been on a 'break' for the past one and a half weeks, i realised that i've let my readers down by not uploading my Bintan photos as well as a little quick peek into my Thailand trip. Before i run out of things to say, i had better start by uploading photos from Bintan as well as Thailand.
7th May 2008
Woke up really early at 630am to prepare for my much awaited Bintan trip. I've not been there before and was really excited about going there. Besides, this was my first overseas trip with Darling so that pretty much hyped up the whole thing. Had breakfast at Macdonald's before heading down to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal to meet up with the rest of the gang ( Kenny and Marisa)

Already in the ferry. Kept perstering Darling to take photos with me lest he falls asleep.
Finally, after 55 minutes, we arrived at Bintan Ferry Terminal safe and sound.

We had a feast for our eyes on our way to the Nirwana Beach Hotel. This is just one of them.

Having walked around aimlessly for 10 minutes, we discovered a Hammock. Being the naughty and mischievious guys they were, they decided to give it a try. This was what happened :
Kenny : hey roger let's try leh.
Roger's just lurking in the background. Obviously too scared to give it a try.
Kenny: Ok, i will go up first. You follow after me.
Roger tries unsuccessfully to get up. Kenny: Roger, you're too fat la!! (which i totally agree) haha just kidding!

As we were all tired and hungry, we decided to head to the hotel's lobby for help in transporting us to Pasar Oleh Oleh for lunch.

As we were all too hungry, we only managed to capture just two dishes from our 6 course lunch. Too busy eating and we forgot all about taking pictures. A great lunch i would say.
Walked around that place for a while before buying a few bottles of green tea and mineral water for our night of fun and games. Had wanted to search for coke bottles but kenny had a serious case of stomach ache so we had to rush back to the hotel!!!

Took an hour's break before heading out for a romantic walk along the beach. Then it was dinner time for us at Kellong Restaurant where the prices were almost half that of Singapore's. Imagine, $10 for a plate of fried rice! However, it was money well spent for both the fried rice and the noodles were delicious.
