The second week of attachment went by in a flash. This week was a pretty much relaxing week for me for normal lessons were suspended for three days, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for Bedok Green's annual learning festival.
Here, we got to learn about the different races in Singapore, their culture and what-have-you. It was a relaxing 3 days with us trainee teachers slacking in the common room and only occassionally, do we have to look after a bunch of brats. The only drawback, however, was that we all afternoon session teachers had to wake up at a godforbidden timing of 6am during the 3 days which resulted in us zoning out before the national anthem was sung.
It was a memorable 3 days as i got to know my fellow colleagues and friends better. I feel verymuch attached to the school now and i'm totally looking forward to teaching next tuesday.
There's one thing to rejoice for at this point in time and that would be the very long weekend that we teachers and students enjoy! Monday is a public holiday if you guys haven't yet realised. I think i'm going to spend Monday sleeping in as i haven't been getting enough sleep for the past few days.
Come Sunday, i'll be meeting the girls. It has been two weeks since i last met them and i'm really excited about it. I'm sure we'll have lots to fill each other on.I miss you girls and i cant wait to see you!
